Gemini VII Sterling Silver Medallion Back

This Sterling
silver medallion flew on the Gemini VII mission with astronauts Frank
Borman and James Lovell.
On the front of the medallion is seen an arm holding a torch with a
Gemini spacecraft and the mission designation VII.
On the back of the medallion are the names Borman and Lovell along with
the mission designation GT-7. Etched into the medallion is the
mission dates of December 4-13, 1965.
This medallion was in the personal collection of Astronaut Wally
Schirra. He consigned this medallion for sale through Odyssey
Auctions.
The Earth To The Moon Air & Space Museum acquired this medallion
from the Odyssey auction.
Later a hand signed, type written certificate was obtained from
Astronaut Schirra to attest to the medallion's authenticity. |
