This sterling silver medallion was flown on board the Gemini VI-A mission with Astronauts Wally Schirra and Tom Stafford.

This medallion was in the personal collection of Gemini VI-A Commander Wally Schirra. On February 27, 1994, Astronaut Schirra consigned this medallion for sale through Odyssey Auctions.

This was lot number 57 in this auction. The description from the auction catalog stated, "57. Gemini A-VI Flown Medallion. The medallion depicts the missions movements. Dated December 15-16 1965."

This lot did not sell in the auction. After the auction, it was purchased from Odyssey Auctions by the Earth To The Moon Air & Space Museum in a private transaction.

Later a type written certificate of authenticity that is hand signed by Astronaut Schirra was obtained for this medallion.
