This Robbins medallion was flown on the Apollo 9 mission. It comes from the artifact collection of Apollo 9 Commander James McDivitt.

The patch was placed up for auction by Novaspace Space Memorabilia Auction on January 26, 2008. The description in the auction catalog reads : "Lot # 379 Flown Apollo 9 Robbins medallion. In original, numbered case, matching the number (227) stamped into the "
Tails" side. With LOA from Jim McDivitt."

The flown Robbins Medallion and letter of authenticity from Astronaut McDivitt were acquired by the Earth To The Moon Air & Space Museum from the Novaspace auction.
