These aviator sunglasses and this betacloth case were flown on Apollo 7 and used by Astronaut Walt Cunningham. Astronaut Cunningham has autographed the reverse side of the betacloth case.

These sunglasses and case were in the personal collection of Astronaut Cunningham until he consigned them for auction in 1994.

On February 27, 1994, Odyssey Auctions sold this artifact in their Space, Sports, and Historical Autographs and Memorabilia Auction.

This was lot number 153 in the auction catalog.  The description in the catalog stated, "153. Apollo VII Sunglasses.  The sunglasses worn by Walter Cunningham aboard the Apollo VII mission with the original beta cloth case imprinted with serial and part numbers.  Signed by Cunningham."

The Earth To The Moon Air and  Space Museum acquired this artifact from the Odyssey auction. Later, a type written statement of authenticity, hand signed by Astronaut Cunningham was obtained for this artifact.
