 These Air Force dog
tags belonged to Astronaut Jim Irwin.Astronaut Irwin's family consigned them in the Odyssey Auctions Space and Aviation Autographs and Memorabilia Auction on March 26, 1995. The dogtags were lot number 171 in the auction. The catalogue description from that auction stated, "171 Jim Irwin's Air Force Dog Tags. A pair of Irwin's dog tags imprinted 'Irwin, James B. 22220A T-63 O-Pos. Presbyterian'. In fine condition." The Earth To The Moon Air & Space Museum acquired this artifact in the Odyssey auction. |
